I would not have thought of them as having anything to do with heroes until the professor brought this topic up. Yes, I see soldiers are contemplating their roles in the war and the social context of the war, but aren't these critiques of the situation at that time? What's so heroic about them? I mean our individual definition of hero changes with every generation (as was said in class), we've gone from the confident hero like Beowulf to the conflicted one such as Peter Jackson's Aragon, but do both those type of heroes hold similar aspects to them we could use to define a hero? as for the review, i was hoping to go through some sample exam questions. I'm not a hundred percent sure of what to expect from our exam or how to study.
