Regarding the professor’s lecture on scansion, using examples from “Lancelot in Hell”. I’m pretty confused at all those techniques Ciarti employed; is it really important to know them and how Ciarti used them? I guess I was being disturbed by the poem’s nihilistic theme and got too caught up in its content so I didn’t pay that much attention to the techniques.
